Our Community
Bradley Bean was born and raised in Fernandina Beach and comes from a long line of dedicated community servants. Bradley’s grandparents, Red and Joan Bean moved to Fernandina Beach after World War II for work. They chose to move to Nassau County because Joan had never seen the beach before. Over the next 70 years, Red and Joan dedicated their lives to this community and to raising their 9 children.
Bradley’s father, State Senator Aaron Bean, began his public service as a member of Fernandina Beach’s city council and served as Mayor.

After graduating as valedictorian from Fernandina Beach High School, Bradley chose to continue his education at the University of Florida, where he earned his B.S in Industrial and Systems Engineering with a minor in Business. While in school Bradley was a member of Florida Blue Key and served as a student senator.

While Bradley explored options to start his career in other cities, he knew that returning to Fernandina Beach was the right choice for him. Not only did Bradley want to give back to the community that shaped him, he knew there was no other place in the world like Fernandina Beach. The city’s vibrant businesses, beautiful parks and friendly residents are difficult to find anywhere else.

Since returning home, Bradley has become a dedicated member of Rotary Club and is currently President-elect. He has also served the city on the Charter Review Committee, where he spent hours analyzing the city’s current charter and made important edits and recommendations. In his free time, he enjoys volunteering at the high school as the robotics coach and you may catch him running the river to sea trail while training for his next marathon.

As City Commissioner, Bradley will always fight to protect hard working families. He will focus on bringing fiscal responsibility to the city and battle for lower taxes. As an engineer, Bradley focuses on efficiency every day and plans to bring that knowledge to the city so that the city can find innovative ways to better spend taxpayer dollars.

Bradley will always do what is right for the citizens of Fernandina Beach and will work tirelessly to better his hometown.
